Event Planning 10/6 – 10/12
Hey folks, I hope midterms aren’t leaving you completely fried. Try and find some time for yourselves this weekend amidst the exams. Good luck and I’ll speak to you again next week. My friendly suggestions as usual.
Friday – With date night comes the question of what to do. This weekend two great MBA geared films open up so try to see at least one of them.
Matt Damon narrates a comprehensive analysis of the politics and industry behind the 2008 global financial crisis with Inside Job.
The next film is the documentary based on the best-selling book, “Freakonomics”.

Saturday – Get down with your gastronomic self at the NYC Wine and Food Festival. The events are all weekend ranging from panel talks with world-famous chefs and television personalities to tastings.

Sunday – Make a date with the Brooklyn Museum on this Sunday for a new exhibit that is sure to please. This focused mid-career survey presents a selection of Fred Tomaselli’s unique hybrid paintings and collages from 1990 to the present. These layered paintings combine cutout images of plants, birds, smiling mouths, and hands (clipped from field guides and magazines) with passages of paint and actual prescription pills and hallucinogenic plants to create highly stylized, eye-popping compositions

Monday – Head to you favorite neighborhood pub to see the Jets take on the Vikings. My choice would be Off the Wagon on MacDougal or Bounce on 73rd and 2nd Ave. Kickoff is at 8:30 and should be a smashing game, pardon the pun.
